PEEL AIPORTS RAISES STAKE IN HOLIDAY & TRAVEL MARKET

Peel Airports, a subsidiary or Peel Holdings and the parent company of Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Robin Hood Airport, will be the largest exhibitor at next year's Holiday & Travel Shows. The Company will use the UK's leading consumer holiday and travel exhibitions to raise its customer profile and help consolidate its position as the leading airport group for the North of England.

Last year the Holiday & Travel Shows, which are celebrating their 16th consecutive year, attracted more than 120,000 visitors across its exhibitions in Manchester and Glasgow. This year it is forecast to increase these figures with 800 exhibitors from 100 countries also attending. For the first time, Peel Airports has become the single biggest exhibitor with other contributors including tour operators, travel agents, airlines, tourist boards and places of special interest.

The Peel Airports stand will include representatives from Thomsonfly, Air Malta, Euromanx, easyJet and Wizz Air who will in turn be promoting the routes they operate from Peel Airports. The company will also take the opportunity to promote the additional products and services that the airports offer such as car parking, executive lounges, retail and public transport.

Katie Smorthit, marketing manager at Liverpool John Lennon's Airport, comments; “As an airport group we are working hard to extend our reputation as a local gateway to a wide variety of destinations and operators. We will be showcasing with some of our partners as we believe the Shows offer us a great platform for raising our profile as the leading airport group for the North of England.”

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has been exhibiting at the Holiday & Travel Shows for nearly ten years and as Liverpool celebrates its Capital of Culture status the airport group announces its largest investment to date.

Smorthit continues; “The Manchester Show fits perfectly with our catchment area and with Peel Airports expanding on a rapid basis it is important we communicate with our regional audiences. There is no other single platform from which we could as effectively hit so many local travel orientated customers.”

John Fish, managing director, of the Holiday & Travel Shows, comments: “We have worked closely with Peel Airports for a number of years and are naturally delighted that they continue to increase their presence at the shows. We intend to deliver another successful show and hope the mutually beneficial relationship will continue.”

The Holiday & Travel Show Manchester will be held at Manchester Central (formerly GMEX) from 11th to 13th January 2008 and the Glasgow Holiday & Travel Show will be held at the SECC from 18th to 20th January 2008 (opening times 10 am - 5 pm).
